

Algiers Bonfires on Levee
Come out on December 5th to watch as they light the bonfires along the Mississippi River. This is a long living tradition. Some of the fires are as high as 20 feet in a pyramid shape. Some resemble old Cajun cabins, pickup trucks and other indigenous cultural motifs. Don’t miss out on this even that is unique to New Orleans.
Nola Christmas Festival
This annual Christmas festival features over one million lights and incredible scenery for all ages. Held on December 30th, it invites everyone to enjoy celebrating Christmas. It was launched in 2013 with the goal to maintain the city as one of the top ten holiday destinations.

Caroling in Jackson Square
Since 1946, this event has been one of the biggest highlights in the city. Bring the whole family and join thousands of others for caroling in Jackson Square. Light up the night with a candle at this event on December 18th.
