

The Indie-Rock Louisianais of Sweet Crude make progressive music that embraces the regionās French tradition. Jazz singer John Boutte was voted OffBeat Magazineās best male vocalist more than eight times. Tank and the Bangas have amassed a large local following by combining soul, funk, jazz, folk, spoken word and more into their performances. The Brass-A-Holics blends a heavy dose of go-go funk to the New Orleans brass sound. Multiplatinum, Grammy-nominated producer and entertainer DJ Mannie Fresh will close out the FCF stage.
The event is free and presented by Raising Caneās. It will include events such as the Fried Chicken Tenders Eating Contest and the Best Fried Chicken Contest, which will be judged by local and national food writers, bloggers and critics.
Also, the event will feature a 10-foot One Love wall where festival attendees will be encouraged to share a message of love and encouragement as well as what they love about fried chicken and the festival.
The festival will include events such as the Fried Chicken Wing Eating Contest and the Best Fried Chicken Contest, which will be judged by local and national food writers, bloggers and critics. Ā In addition, there will be live entertainment and more than 20 restaurants providing their own unique twist on the beloved dish.
